SCOPE
The CTO telecom team is responsible to specify, design, manage the implementation and assist in
troubleshooting Telco infrastructures and impacts on applications.
In this scope, the CTO telecom team is looking forward to enforce its operations arm with an infrastructure
operations manager, reporting to the Telecoms Director and able to support the members of the team in
defining, implementing and running global infrastructures within The Organization.

As part of a constant challenging and challenged team, the Candidate will have to demonstrate a high level of
control, management and technical skills in the following domains.
TECHNICAL RESSOURCES MANAGEMENT
International team management and coordination
The candidate will deal with the Regional Infrastructure Coordinators responsible for relaying the IT standards
and global best practices within their 7 regions. The capacities required are:
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and deal with international clients.
Ability to gather data, compile information and report to all levels of management.
Proven experience of managed services transformation using these skills.
Strong leadership and autonomy
In a multi provider environment, and in geographically distributed internal teams, the candidate shall, to ensure
the delivery of projects:
Coordinate internal teams to focus on the delivery
Manage external teams to deliver the quality of the service required.
The candidate should be highly motivated, a self-starter and self-reliant. He shall be able to work independently
but also as part of a team.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Projects implementation is complex in the environment. This is due to the heterogeneous technical scope
in the current infrastructure. The candidate shall manage internal and external teams to deliver the
quality of the service required.
Financial and contract management
In this topic the candidate should assist the members of the team in their tasks of:
Defining overall third-partiy vendors strategy as well as associated contractual reviews
Costs analysis and control (expenses follow-up & internal billing)
Business case proposals building and management of related budgets (integration projects)
Monthly reporting and contract Service Level Agreement (SLA) follow-up
Technical management
Analysis of project requirements and formalization of project infrastructure adjustments needed.
Change management and operations planning.
TELECOM SKILLS
The candidate should have excellent skills and be up to date in the following areas (certifications would be a
must in at least two areas):
WAN and LAN networks
IP addressing scheme optimization : provisioning, optimization
Network & DNS architecture, routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
Network administration, monitoring and optimization (HP OV, Ipanema, Riverbed ) & equipments
(Cisco, Alcatel).
Active Directory, DHCP, WLAN, 802.1x, level 2 switching
Remote access and firewalls
Dial up, Internet, RSA Secured ID, Checkpoint FW-1, Cisco PIX, Juniper environment.
Real Time networks
VoIP/ToIP, PBX, contact centers (ACD) and videoconferencing (bridges, MCUs, Diffserv, gateways)
Convergent networks : Unified and Instant messaging, Unified Communications
OPERATIONS SKILLS
The candidate should master the following processes in operations. He should have experienced those processes
“in Real Life” with solid references. ITIL certification is a plus.
Support services : Change, Incident and Problem management, release, asset configuration and
management
Customer Relationship Management : availability, capacity, planning and continuity management,
Service Level Management (SLAs, OLAs, Service Catalogue)
Technical credibility
The domains required in this field of operations are:
BUILD of infrastructure (telecommunication Networks in particular) involved in the design, impact
studies
RUN of the telecom networks- Maintain & manage day-to-day infrastructure projects
Improvement of the infrastructure : network improvement, impact on existing applications and
infrastructures
Management and coordination of issue management : tracking, failures identification
Achievement of tasks included in team action plans to ensure their delivery on time
Communication to other members of the team on the work done or to do.
The performances on these domains should take into account various changing priorities and resources.
LINGUISTIC SKILLS
French and English fluent languages are a must. Any additional language is a plus
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
With an engineering degree or equivalent in telecoms, the Candidate should have at least a 5 years proven track
record in operations.
Experience in managing teams is a must.
Managing transversal operation organization with multi cultural teams is a plus.
WORKPLACE
This Job will be based in France in the Group Headquarters . However, the mission will
require frequent travels (up to 30% of the annual working time) to based countries.
