Itelco was first established in Belgium in 1992 as a cross-industry recruiter of sales and marketing profiles for the Benelux. The company quickly established itself as a dynamic and responsive partner for many key organisations' recruitment needs, helping to set new standards within the Benelux recruitment industry.
In response to the emergence of information technology's increasingly important role in a modern society, and following the deregulation of the Belgium Telecom sector in 1996, Itelco took the strategic decision to become a dedicated recruiter for the ICT niche market. This approach allowed us to become true specialists in our chosen market: our consultants developed a clear vision of the market and each client's business; they were able to screen candidates more accurately and properly understand their capabilities; and they developed strong industry networks allowing them to deliver real value to a client's ICT recruitment assignment.
In 2003 a successful MBO brought new ownership to Itelco with a view to maintaining the focus of the business and delivering first-class levels of ICT recruitment solutions to the market.
Since the MBO, Itelco has used its management team's extensive market experience to introduce new added-value services to the portfolio. Itelco Executive Search was established to offer specialist headhunting services for senior-management and C-level appointments; and Itelco's Resourcing and Project Solutions divisions were created to deliver short, medium and long-term ICT expertise on project-based missions.
In 2007 Itelco expanded its regional presence with the opening of a new office in Sint-Martens-Latem, Gent, in order to bring the highest levels of professional recruitment services to the Flanders ICT market.
May 2008, saw Itelco celebrating the opening of a new office in Luxembourg, which has very successfully combined the core values of the Itelco business with the unique requirements of this niche ICT marketplace.
Our international reach will very soon be complemented by new offices which are being opened in France.
